MY LENS WHISPERs...

ocean stories on Cape Cod beaches but Costa Rica's wild heart is pulling me deeper, rewriting everything with raw adventure and gratitude.

Salty waves and golden dunes shape my work, capturing quiet coastal moments that feel peaceful and familiar. But deep inside, something wilder is stirring... a pull toward raw adventure, untamed life and the kind of magic that makes your heart beat faster.

I chase golden hour light over dunes, capturing the serene rhythm of tides and find joy in the elegance and rawness of New England's coast. It is beautiful work, full of calm and reflection. But over time, a quiet restlessness has been growing. The familiar started feeling, limited. I crave natural intensity, more life pulsing through every frame - vibrant colors, unexpected encounters, the thrill of the truly wild. Something feels like it's missing and I know I have to listen to that inner whisper before it fades.

The turning point is very gradual, but after years of building a comfortable path, I felt the weight of unspoken dreams. The kind that nudge you in quiet moments, asking, "What if?" And Costa Rica entered my life like a dream I couldn't ignore.

In 2023, I took the leap and headed to the Osa Peninsula for the first time. Stepping into that humid, living forest was overwhelming in the best way. The air thick with bird calls, the ground alive with hidden creatures, every leaf dripping with possibility. Challenges hit quickly from relentless rain soaking gear, long hikes through mud for a single glimpse and the humility of waiting hours for nature to reveal itself.

But the joys? They were profound.

That first emerald hummingbird, the rainbow flash of a toucan in flight, the glow of orchids in dappled light... it all felt like coming home to a wilder version of myself. Wildlife photography isn't just a career shift... it is embracing true dreams, living fearlessly and letting go to serve my soul.

Now, with the rainforest as my backyard, every day brings endless variety and lessons in vulnerability and growth. The jungle doesn't hide its chaos. Storms rage, creatures adapt fiercely, beauty blooms amid the tangle. It's taught me to embrace imperfection (like that quick and blurry photograph that started it all), to move quietly as a guest in this incredible world and to find strength in stillness.

Nature has been my greatest healer, pulling me from burnout into bliss, filling my days with purpose and gratitude. From the quiet magic on the jungle floor to the soaring canopies, it's rewritten me completely. It is reminding me that inspiration and adventure wait for those brave enough to chase them.

This path isn't always easy, but it's authentically mine. And now sharing it through these whispers (and beautiful prints that bring the wild home), feels like the truest expression of my wild heart.
