STORIES THAT SING TO THE SOUL

Neon green 'Wild Heart Radio' sign glowing against dark tropical palm leaves background.

Short, unfiltered stories from a wildlife photographer in Costa Rica who traded perfect weddings for perfectly imperfect jungle mornings.

Every podcast episode is one real photograph, one raw moment (toucan breakfast clubs at 10 a.m., baby sloth, Larry the Laughing Falcon, hummingbirds that stare straight into my soul) and the truth the jungle whispered while I stood there barefoot and wide awake.

If you’ve ever felt something wild tugging at your heart, come sit beside me on the deck. Coffee optional. Bare feet required. New episodes drop from the deck within the Costa Rican rainforest.

Subscribe wherever you listen, and let’s get lost together.

Pura vida.

EPISODE NINE

The Costa Rican Scarlet Macaws and the Early Morning Beach Feast

It was an early start a couple of weeks ago as I went down to the shore before the sun climbed too high. I arrived as the first light painted the waves gold, the air still cool with salt and promise.

Walking quietly along the shoreline, camera ready, I suddenly heard them… that unmistakable raucous squawk echoing from the trees. A small flock of five or six scarlet macaws swooped down to the beach almond trees in a burst of color...
