The jungle speaks first...

To those who listen.

Before raising my camera, I pause with my eyes closed, breath slow while tuning into layers of sound. Distant howler rumble, leaf rustle, a sudden hush. That silence often signals something extraordinary nearby. This simple ritual has gifted me mantis close-ups, frog emergences, even rare birds just over head. The wild heart trusts quiet presence over hurried searching.

Try it: Sit still five minutes. Let ears guide eyes.

Magic unfolds when we become part of the rhythm instead of visitors to it. When has silence shown you something unexpected?
