Every time I press the shutter...

Whether it's in the Costa Rican rainforest or any other place, I silently say “thank you.”

Not to the camera. But to the wild itself. To the mantis that let me get close. To the hummingbird that hovered long enough. To the light that fell just right. To the jungle for letting me borrow the moment.

This small practice of turning every click into a thank you has quietly transformed my entire photography practice.

The photos feel different now.

They carry a warmth and presence that technical perfection alone could never create. The camera stopped being a tool for taking and became a tool for receiving... and giving thanks. This gratitude machine approach has made my work more meaningful and my time in nature and the wild more joyful. It’s a simple shift that anyone can try.

And it changes everything.
