HI FRIENDS, I'M SARAH...


I am nature and wildlife storyteller completely in love with Costa Rica's raw, biodiverse and beautiful rainforests. This incredible place is my backyard now, but the journey here started with one imperfect moment: a quick moment photo of a hummingbird during my first trip to the Osa Peninsula in 2022.


That tiny, iridescent blur wasn't technically perfect, but it captured the wild heart I’d been chasing... the buzz of wings, the flash of color against endless green, the quiet magic calling me to live fearlessly and dive deeper into this life.


I'm so grateful you're here with me.


Let's rewind to where this adventure truly began... Stepping onto the Osa Peninsula in southern Costa Rica felt like entering a dream. The humid air wrapped around me like a welcome, filled with the symphony of hidden creatures, howler monkeys in the distance... leaves rustling with unseen life. As a guest in this incredible rainforest, I moved quietly, camera ready, heart open.


I waited patiently by a cluster of heliconias, hoping for a glimpse. Then, it happened. A green hermit hummingbird darted in, wings a frantic blur, sipping nectar in beautiful, even light. My shutter clicked, motion frozen. In that instant, though, something shifted. The blur wasn't a failure. It was pure life. Untamed, fleeting, alive.


It reminded me why I believe in dreams, inspiration and adventure. It whispered: leave the familiar behind and chase this quiet magic. Make this your life.


That image hangs in my mind (and now on my wall) as a symbol of embracing imperfection. Nature doesn't wait for perfect conditions; it thrives in the raw, the unexpected. Transitioning to this wild path meant letting go of old chapters, but the jungle rewarded me daily with the best variety: toucans, orchids, butterflies, ocelots and that constant hum of life.


It's rewritten my story, filling it with gratitude and purpose. Capturing the wild side through stills that share nature's soul. These moments are why I print and look at them... to hold the wild heart forever and now share it with you.
