I don't always photograph what i see...

Sometimes I photograph to what I hear. And the jungle in Costa Rica has its very own playlist.

The pulsing rhythm of cicadas at dusk. The sudden hush that means something bigger is nearby. The soft rustle of leaves when a mantis is moving. The distant call of a laughing falcon that tells me exactly where to look.

Learning to sync my breathing and shutter clicks to these natural rhythms has become one of the most joyful parts of my wildlife photography.

When I let the jungle’s hidden playlist direct my lens, the photos feel like they were meant to happen. They’re less forced and more alive... True collaborations with the wild. This sensory way of working keeps my creativity fresh and my heart wide open every single day here...
